Choose a beginning you can return to

Start with a short passage rather than an ambitious page target. Al-Fatihah is available in Amin’s reading room with Arabic and translation. Read at a pace that lets you attend to the words. This practical suggestion is not a ruling about how much anyone is required to read.

Make room for understanding

If you are learning Arabic, a translation can support your understanding while you continue learning. Read nearby verses when a phrase raises a question. A translation is not identical to the original Arabic, and a brief website answer cannot replace detailed tafsir or a qualified teacher.

Keep one question

After reading, write down a question or a phrase to revisit. You do not need to resolve every question immediately. Ask a knowledgeable teacher when you need interpretation, pronunciation help or guidance about religious obligations.

What if I miss a day?

Return to the next manageable reading session. Avoid treating the routine as a score that makes the reading worthwhile only when a streak stays intact. A reminder or a widget can help you remember a chosen time, but it is only a tool.

A simple first session

Open Al-Fatihah, read the passage and its translation, and note one question. For a closer look at context, continue with our first reading lesson.
