1. Parties and scope

The Service is provided by TengrX (“we”). Address: İzmir, Türkiye. Email: amen_app@outlook.com.

Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies to the app licence. If these terms and the EULA conflict, these terms apply, except for the provisions concerning Apple. Nothing here limits the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

2. The Service

Amin offers features such as Quran reading and translation, word-by-word recitation, daily verse, dhikr counter and prayer time widgets, reminders and streaks, Prayer Lock (a Screen Time lock), personal notes and optional AI chat. Some features require a paid Premium subscription.

We may change, add or remove features to improve the Service. If we materially remove a feature you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice and your rights under consumer law remain unaffected.

3. Eligibility and age

You must be at least 13 to use the Service. If you are a minor where you live, use the Service, and in particular make purchases, only with your parent’s or guardian’s approval.

AI chat and verse explanations are available only to people aged 18 or over. You must declare your age truthfully when switching them on; the person making a false declaration is responsible for its consequences.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree not to:

If these rules are broken, we may restrict access to the feature concerned in proportion to the seriousness of the breach and with regard to your paid entitlements.

5. Religious content and AI limits

Amin is not a religious authority and does not issue fatwas. Its content is meant to support reflection and learning; consult qualified scholars for religious rulings.

Quran text and translations come from the stated sources and are not generated by AI. AI chat and explanations, however, are generated by artificial intelligence and may be incomplete, wrong or out of context. Check quotations against reliable sources. AI answers are not a substitute for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice. In an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

AI voice is a synthetic voice, not a reciter’s recitation.

Prayer times depend on location, calculation method and device clock settings and may differ slightly. Rely on your local competent authority’s calendar for exact times.

Prayer Lock is a reminder tool built on Apple’s Screen Time framework; it is not a parental control or security product. You can switch it off at any time; it must not be used to block access to your phone’s essential functions in an emergency.

6. Intellectual property and content licences

The Amin software, design, brand and editorial content belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive and revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Translations, recitations, images and fonts belong to their respective rights holders and are subject to their own licence terms; sources are listed in the app under Profile → About → Content Sources. This access does not give you the right to reproduce, redistribute or commercially use that content without limit.

7. Your content

Your notes, messages and other inputs belong to you. We process them only to provide the Service to you (for example to generate an AI reply or keep your progress) and in line with the Privacy Policy. We do not publish your content or use it for advertising.

You confirm that you hold the necessary rights in content you send to the AI and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

8. Fees, subscriptions and refunds

Price, period, trial and discount terms are shown on the purchase screen and in Apple’s confirmation sheet. Apple collects payment; your card details never reach us.

Auto-renewing subscriptions renew for the same period at the current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in Apple Account → Subscriptions. Deleting the app or deleting your account with “Start Over” does not cancel a subscription. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription. You can restore purchases with the same Apple account.

Refund requests follow Apple’s processes (reportaproblem.apple.com); we cannot issue refunds on Apple’s behalf. Where you agree to immediate performance of digital content, the right of withdrawal for distance contracts may end in accordance with Art. 15(1)(ğ) of the Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation and Art. 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU. Your statutory rights for defective services remain unaffected.

Price changes are announced in advance under Apple’s rules; where the law requires, you will be asked to approve the new price.

9. Availability

We take care to provide the Service, but maintenance, connection problems or third-party services (Apple, Supabase, OpenAI, content providers) can cause interruptions. Cloud progress is not a complete backup of your data or a guaranteed cross-device recovery service; local data can be lost if the device is lost or the app is deleted.

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without any warranty of fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted operation. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding defects and conformity under consumer law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profits or data, or damage arising from decisions made in reliance on AI output, prayer times or third-party content. Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limitations do not apply to intent or gross negligence (Turkish Code of Obligations Art. 115), injury to life, body or health, product liability, or the mandatory rights you have as a consumer.

If you are not a consumer, you agree to indemnify us, in proportion to your fault, against third-party claims arising from your breach of these terms or the law.

11. Apple-specific terms

12. Termination

You can end this agreement at any time by deleting the app and deleting your account with “Start Over”. In case of serious or repeated breaches, or where legally required, we may suspend or end your access, with prior notice where possible. If we terminate without good reason, your consumer rights for paid, unused periods remain unaffected.

Provisions on intellectual property, liability, governing law and any others that by their nature should survive continue to apply after termination.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the service or the law changes. We announce significant changes in the app a reasonable time before they take effect and ask for your renewed acceptance where needed. If you don’t accept a change, you can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.

14. Governing law and disputes

Please write to amen_app@outlook.com first; we can resolve most requests quickly that way.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers in Türkiye may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committee where they live within the monetary limits set each year under Consumer Protection Law No. 6502, and to the Consumer Court for disputes above those limits.

Consumers living in the EU or elsewhere keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of their country of residence and may bring proceedings in the courts where they live. For disputes with non-consumer users, the courts and enforcement offices at the controller’s place of business have jurisdiction.

15. General

If a provision is found invalid, the others remain in force. Not exercising a right does not mean we waive it. We may assign our rights under this agreement to a successor, provided your rights are not reduced.

These terms are published in Turkish, English, Arabic and Russian; if translations differ, the Turkish text prevails. This does not affect your rights under the mandatory law of the country where you live.
